Scholarships, Fellowships and Grants
Scholarships, fellowships and grants cover types of awards that do not need to be paid back by MBA and other postgraduate school applicants. The schools themselves provide money for candidates based on need, diversity characteristics, merit, etc. Often MBA applicants do not need to apply for these awards separately but in certain cases, there are additional requirements. One example is the Cornell Park Leadership Fellows Program which provides leadership training in addition to a monetary award. Other sources of scholarships, fellowships and grants include governments, professional associations, private organizations or employers (who would then most likely expect recipients to work for a time after completing the degree).
